Sam Hanson is the owner of Old World Trees. He began working at the age of 15 pruning trees and hauling brush for his uncle, Duncan Brooks of Waco. He continued learning about arboriculture and shortly after started treating trees for the oak wilt disease in central Texas. After working over 10 years in the family business Sam moved to the Austin area and became a certified arborist himself. He is a proud member of the International Society of Arboriculture, ISAT, and is Texas Oak Wilt Qualified. He has extensive knowledge and experience regarding oak wilt and its financial impact on the homeowner. Sam Hanson specializes in diagnosis and treatment of tree diseases and insect problems.
